Tis’ The Season For Apples

This week we’ll have some apples for sale from west Georgia, Tallapoosa to be exact. They are not Organic, but they utilize non-chemical pest management and only spray when the crop is absolutely in jeopardy of loss. We will also have Apple Cider and Apple Thyme vinegar for sale from the same farm.

We’ve begun packing boxes at the farm for CSA members. With our new system, each member customizes their box online, and then we print out their “grocery list” and stick it on the box. A couple hours before delivery, we fill each box according to their list. This photo was taken on Thursday when we have about 75 boxes to complete!

It took a while, but puddle-splashing was an afternoon activity today.
