Also available for your garden: bagged compost, organic fertilizers, cover crop seed AND veggie, herb and flower seeds from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange.

Friday is just the plant sale, but Saturday, in addition to selling plants and setting up our on-farm market (veggies, meat, yogurt, bread, all the goodness!), Jenny will be leading a class titled: Tips for a successful organic garden from 9 am-10 am and Chris will be leading a free farm tour at 10 am.

The cost for the class is $10 and can be paid on Saturday. Please send us an e-mail to reserve your spot though!!!!

On Farm Market reopens this Wednesday!

Our On Farm Market will re-open on Wednesday, April 3rd. We’re open every Wednesday morning 9- 12 April through mid December. This year we’ll also be open at the farm the first Saturday morning of each month, April  through December, 9 am – 12 pm.

We will not attend the Uptown Market in Columbus this year, so we hope you Columbus folks can make it up to Pine Mountain to shop with us here some Wednesdays or Saturdays!

What’s Available at Market This Week (Wednesday AND Saturday!)

Its been a slow start to the spring for us for a few reasons – we can go into details of the delays another time- but we will have the very first spring crops available this week with greens like lettuce and kale starting to come in the next few weeks.

On the table this week: Lots of Strawberries! Green Garlic, Microgreens, Micro Basil, Micro Cilantro, Sweet Potatoes, and Carrots.

Yogurt & Granola from Pecan Point Farm, Meat and Eggs from Turntime Farm, Eggs from Randle Farms, Local Honey from Amazing Grace Farm.

Sue’s B’s Granola Bars plus sourdough bread and other baked goods from other local bakers.

Columbus Botanical Garden Plant Sale

We’ll also be selling veggie, herb and flower transplants at the Columbus Botanical Garden plant sale April 12th and 13th.

CSA is Full!

Hopefully if you wanted to join you already signed up because our CSA, which starts the week of April 16th, is full. If you didn’t get to sign up, we hope you can shop with us at our On Farm Market on Wednesday mornings and/or the first Saturday of each month. We will not attend any other markets this year.

Lots of healthy tomato plants ready for your gardens! Many varieties to choose from including Beefsteak, Sungold Cherry, and assortment of Heirlooms. For sale here at the farm this weekend (Friday and Saturday) AND at the Columbus Botanical Garden plant sale next weekend, 4/12 and 4/13.

We’ve got a gorgeous strawberry crop so far- lots of berries for sale at our on farm markets this Wednesday and Saturday mornings, but we’re not so sure about the harvest in weeks to come because a hail storm bruised 1000s of green berries and blooms last week. We’re hopeful they will ripen up fine with just some superficial scarring.

Tulsi has been enjoying plenty of sweet strawberries so far this spring!

Take Good Care,

Chris, Jenny and Tulsi Jane Jackson
