Wednesday Market will continue!

Last Wednesday, with thunderstorms dumping more rain on the already puddled roads, committed customers were determined to come get their greens. We were blown away by the support of the market in such weather, especially considering it was planned only a few days prior.

Because you fine farm supporters have shown just how hungry you are for farm fresh food this time of year, we’ve decided to extend the self serve Wednesday On Farm Market through January. There is an honor box for you to deposit money and make change from in case no one is in the barn to assist you. Because we may not be around to run a credit card, please bring cash or check to pay.

We’ll be open 9-5, although if the morning customers remain faithful, we may be sold out of most things by the afternoon. If you can’t make it in the morning, please feel free to call me (Jenny) to see if there’s anything left to drive out for: 706-333-4479

This week we’ll have Kale, Collards, Rainbow Chard, Carrots, Watermelon Radish, Sunchokes, Spinach, Lettuce, Mustard Greens, and Eggs (limited amount, as always).

For the “Farmacy”…..

Tinctures (Medicinal Extracts): Ginger, Turmeric, Elderberry, and Holy Basil. Also, Hibiscus/Mint/Lemongrass Tea.  And Comfrey- Aloe Cream for minor wounds, rashes and burns. All medicinal herbal products are made here with herbs/plants grown here.

‘Lacinato’ aka Dinosaur Kale along with lettuce, rainbow chard, and carrots are all growing abundantly in one of the two hoophouses.

We’ve got 14 new piglets! Two litters were born two days apart. Hauling plenty of fresh hay to them every day to keep them warm.

Best Wishes for a healthy and joyous 2016!
